On 31 May 2024, a Ukrainian-Turkish business forum was held in Chernivtsi to develop ties between Ukrainian business and Türkiye, assist in the export of Ukrainian products and services, attract investment in the Ukrainian economy, and discuss pressing issues of bilateral cooperation.
The forum was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions, executive authorities, local governments, chambers of commerce and industry, and business circles of Türkiye and Ukraine.
During the first panel discussion, the participants discussed the prospects and priority areas of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation.
The second panel discussion was dedicated to the problems of Ukrainian and Turkish companies, in particular, their investment and trade cooperation.
In his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Türkiye Vasyl Bodnar outlined the potential of bilateral cooperation, forms of support for Ukrainian business and the expected benefits of free trade between Ukraine and Türkiye. He also presented the capabilities of the Nazovni.online platform, a tool from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine that helps Ukrainian companies enter foreign markets.
The forum showed that Turkish businesses are interested in investing in the Ukrainian economy and expanding their current investments.
The event concluded with B2B meetings and negotiations between Ukrainian and Turkish business representatives and an exhibition of regional companies' products.
