•Ukraine boasts a rich and fascinating history that stretches back to ancient and medieval times. Remnants of this history can still be seen and felt today. What makes Ukraine unique is its blend of Western and Eastern influences, combining urban civilization with the vast steppes. Today, we present a part of this history—Ukrainian castles, which have served as sites of defense and development for centuries. In total, Ukraine has over 5,000 fortifications, but today we'll focus on those that have been best preserved.
