• One year ago, on June 6, 2023, Russia committed one of the largest ecocides in modern history by blowing up the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, which impacted people and nature. As a result of Russia`s attack on the Kakhovka HPP dam, 600 km2 of territories was flooded, around 880 000 people lost access to centralized water supply, and many others were affected.
