On 18 April 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Bankov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Burak Akçapar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation on the frontline, prospects and the current state of bilateral cooperation, in particular in the economic sphere, and identified joint urgent steps to intensify it, as well as to further involve Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine. 

Particular attention was paid to cooperation with the Turkish side in preparing for the Global Peace Summit and ensuring food security.

Oleksandr Bankov emphasised the importance of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noting: "The Peace Formula is of great importance for global stability and security. We look forward to Türkiye's continued active support for the implementation of this Formula, as well as participation in the Global Peace Summit."
